I think Mattias uses vintage verb but I don't know in what context. You can go from Super restrained to crazy space ghost sounds by just changing a parameter or two. I got Valhalla Room based on Mattias' recommendation several years ago and have never regretted it. RE: Valhalla Room or Vintage Verb? - kmlandre - 04-07-2017 I know the Room is more meant for realistic Halls, I can't really judge if what I want sounds that realistic though (apart from the Arvo Pärt recording). I also like the hall on this recording here. I fancy the hall sounds from Jeremy Soule Oblivion Ost and Guild Wars Ost. So I am hesitating which one I should buy for now, since I can't really judge there quality with my reverb tinkering skill, apart from some very generell judgements. I recognized that the Valhalla ones are really just way better then anything free, though I couldn't get anything really that useful out of them. I tried my hands on a couple of freebies and also Valhalla Room and Valhalla Vintage Verb. Trying to get a more realistic sound i decided that I should use one Reverb for most of the Samples as it is recommended. While using before the built reverbs of my samplers i decided that was not enough any more, since i use different samplers like Kontakt and Sampletank3 so the reverbs are also different.
